Asset Condition as a Vector Quantity, Not a Scalar Quality

I had a pleasant LinkedIn exchange recently with a respected fellow consultant who was touting the virtues of assessing asset condition. His approach seemed very reasonable and in fact, is aligned with the practice many asset-owning organizations employ.

I found it, shall we say… lacking a certain something.
